From The Steiff Archive
Margarete Steiff, the company founder, established the Steiff Archive in 1880 which kept the number 1's and 12's of all limited editions, prototypes and hand pieces safe for over 100 years. In late 2024, the company began a long-term project to re-organise, re-locate and digitize this archive to ensure it remains a valuable resource for future generations.
Due the astounding collection within the archive, it took up a vast amount of space! The Bear Garden is the only Steiff outlet worldwide, other than the Steiff Museum, selected to be able to offer some of the exquisite treasures from the Steiff Archive to collectors and bear-lovers around the world!
