The Steiff Club was established in 1992. This lovely 1928 Clown Teddy Bear Replica was therefore the second Steiff Club teddy bear!

This wonderful 1993 Steiff Club teddy bear has been crafted from the finest light blond mohair fabric tipped with dark brown. He features shiny black eyes with brown irises, a chocolate brown hand-stitched nose and mouth and pale beige felt paws with stitched claws. Based upon an original 1928 clown teddy bear, he wears a creamy linen neck ruff with light orange stitched edge that matches his triangular hat which is decorated with two orange pom poms. Stitched to his chest, for the perfect finishing touch, is a large porcelain tag stating his 1993 club edition year.

This whimsical 1928 Clown Teddy Replica is the number 5009 of an individually numbered open edition exclusive to club members during the 1993-94 club year and he comes with his original certificate, burgundy box and brown cardboard outer. He is from our archive and was displayed during the club year, but since then has been in his box. We felt it was time that he found a new home!
