The Steiff Club was established in 1992. This gorgeous 1929 Teddy Baby Replica was therefore the very first Steiff Club teddy bear!

Crafted from the finest pearly grey mohair fabric, he features black eyes with brown irises, a black hand-stitched nose and mouth and blue felt paws with stitched claws. His face has been delicately airbrushed light blue and his claws and mouth have subtle red airbrushing for added detail and to create the illusion of an open mouth design. Stitched to his chest, for the perfect finishing touch, is a large porcelain tag stating his club edition year.

This historic 1929 Teddy Baby Replica is the number 7945 of an individually numbered open edition exclusive to club members during the 1992-93 club year and he comes with his original burgundy box and brown cardboard outer. He is from our archive and was displayed during the club year, but since then has been in his box. We felt it was time that he found a new home!
