In 2003, Steiff re-created their exquisite Little Felt Elephant pin cushion that so modestly began the company in 1880. This charming piece is crafted from the finest winter white wool felt and wears a blue and yellow felt saddle bearing the initials 'A S' to commemorate Anna Steiff, Margarete's sister-in-law, who was the recipient of the very first elephant that Margarete created. The saddle is attached by hand and secured with 14 black pins that echo the design of the elephant's eyes.

This wonderful Little Felt Elephant Replica is part of an individually numbered open edition exclusive to the year 2003 and he comes with his original presentation box and brown cardboard outer. He is from our archive and was displayed during the club year, but since then has been in his box. We felt it was time that he found a new home!
