"Dead Parrot" is a sketch from Monty Python's Flying Circus about a non-existent species of parrot, called a "Norwegian Blue". A satire on poor customer service, it was written by John Cleese and Graham Chapman and initially performed in the show's first series which aired 7th December 1969. The sketch portrays a conflict between disgruntled customer Mr Praline (played by Cleese) and a shopkeeper (Michael Palin), who argue whether or not a recently purchased parrot is dead.

In homage to the famous sketch, Steiff have created this wonderful bear crafted from the finest beige mohair. He wears a jacket made from a smoky grey coloured waxed cotton fabric which has been decorated with an appliqué of the Monty Python Flying Circus logo on the back. In his right hand he holds a dead parrot made from a short pile blue mohair fabric with grey feet and beak features and the Monty Python logo has been printed onto the left paw pad for the perfect finishing touch.

This bear is limited to only 1,969 pieces, has been created exclusively for the UK and Ireland and comes with a numbered certificate in a Steiff gift box with its original protective cardboard outer sleeve.
