2025 marks the 35th anniversary of Barbara-Ann Bears, lovingly made in Scotland, by Barbara and Andy! All of their wonderful creations certainly brighten up any space with their charming personalities, soulful eyes and bold colours - it's no wonder that they're so well-loved and popular!

Merryvale is an adorable little bear made from long and wild pale pear-green coloured mohair fabric. He features a hand embroidered nose in colours that coordinate perfectly with his fabric and hand-painted glass eyes decorated with felt lids. Merryvale is also partially stuffed with poly-pellets to give him a slightly weighted feel and has soft, light brown felt paw pads.

Merryvale is a one-of-a-kind design made especially for The Bear Garden.

Barbara-Ann Bears are made by talented husband and wife team of Barbara-Ann and Andy Cunningham in Scotland. They are known around the world for their creative, colourful and wacky designs! Barbara hand-dyes her own mohair and fabrics, and as nearly every bear is a one-of-a-kind creation, no two are ever the same! Andy has the painstaking task of embroidering the noses. This is done from many layers of co-ordinating, soft-cotton tapestry thread, which perfectly complement the bear's mohair.
