Douglas is a handsome bear crafted from a dark blue, burgundy and yellow tartan fabric. He is partially stuffed with poly-pellets to give him a slightly weighted feel and has dark blue felt paw pads and an intriguing dark purple and brown plush fabric belly with red tipping. Douglas also features enchanting glass eyes that are hand-painted and decorated with delicate felt lids, a hand-stitched nose in matching complementary colours and a honey coloured mohair muzzle with tufty chin and ears.
Douglas is a one-of-a-kind design made especially for The Bear Garden.

Barbara-Ann Bears are made by talented husband and wife team of Barbara-Ann and Andy Cunningham in Scotland. They are known around the world for their creative, colourful and wacky designs! Barbara hand-dyes her own mohair and fabrics, and as nearly every bear is a one-of-a-kind creation, no two are ever the same! Andy has the painstaking task of embroidering the noses. This is done from many layers of co-ordinating, soft-cotton tapestry thread, which perfectly complement the bear's mohair.
