Fern is a characterful clown teddy bear made from pale green and ivory coloured long pile mini plush fabric. She has beautifully crafted suedette footpads which enable her to stand unaided, glass eyes that are delicately airbrushed and is also part-filled with steel shot. Fern wears a forest green coloured pointed hat, that has been decorated with three tiny pompoms, and a mint green ruff around her neck which is decorated with a frosted silver bell.

Fern is a one-of-a-kind teddy bear and has been made especially for The Bear Garden.

Bear artist Jane Mogford is based in Staffordshire. She had been collecting bears long before she first tried her hand at making bears in 1997. One thing led to another and in 1998 Pipkin Bears was born. Today Jane's wonderful creations can be found in the home's of collectors all around the globe and she has also won several awards for her work.
