Disney Pinocchio by Steiff - 33cm

The latest piece from Steiff in collaboration with Disney is their incredible Pinocchio. Third in the series, following Jiminy Cricket and Figaro, he is a must have for all lovers of Disney!

Pinocchio is a 1940 animated musical fantasy film produced by Walt Disney Productions. Based on Carlo Collodi's 1883 children's novel, The Adventures of Pinocchio, it is Disney's second animated feature, receiving critical acclaim and winning two Academy Awards. The plot involves an old Italian woodcarver named Geppetto who carves a wooden puppet named Pinocchio and wishes that he might be a real boy. The puppet is brought to life by a blue fairy, who informs him that he can become a real boy if he proves himself to be "brave, truthful, and unselfish".

Pinocchio has been crafted from wool felt and has hair made from black mohair fabric. He features embroidered eyes and mouth as well as black embroidered details on his gloves. Pinocchio wears a yellow t-shirt below a pair of red dungarees, with a black waistcoat on top, and an elaborate collar featuring a big blue bow - all of which have been made from cotton jersey. On his head he wears a hat that co-ordinates perfectly with his outfit and he has brown clogs on his feet.

Pinocchio is limited to just 2,000 pieces worldwide and comes with a numbered certificate in a Steiff gift box with its original protective cardboard outer sleeve.
