2025 marks the 35th anniversary of Barbara-Ann Bears, lovingly made in Scotland, by Barbara and Andy! All of their wonderful creations certainly brighten up any space with their charming personalities, soulful eyes and bold colours - it's no wonder that they're so well-loved and popular!

Barleycorn is an endearing little bear crafted from a long yet sparse copper and pale lemon coloured mohair with hand-dyed backing fabric - colours which are reflected in her characterful, stripy nose. She features tiny glass eyes with yellow irises and felt lids, soft multicoloured paw pads and is filled with a little steel shot for a wonderful, weighted feel.

Barleycorn is a one-of-a-kind miniature made especially for The Bear Garden.

Barbara-Ann Bears are made by talented husband and wife team of Barbara-Ann and Andy Cunningham in Scotland. They are known around the world for their creative, colourful and wacky designs! Barbara hand-dyes her own mohair and fabrics, and as nearly every bear is a one-of-a-kind creation, no two are ever the same! Andy has the painstaking task of embroidering the noses. This is done from many layers of co-ordinating, soft-cotton tapestry thread, which perfectly complement the bear's mohair.
