Gilbert is a rather dapper chap crafted from an interesting hand-dyed mohair fabric in muted shades of pink, orange and brown with subtle pops of blue. He is partially stuffed with poly-pellets to give him a slightly weighted feel and has orange tie-dye paw pads and a gentle smile. Gilbert also features enchanting glass eyes that are hand-painted and decorated with delicate felt lids, a hand-stitched nose in matching complementary colours and wears an orange and pink tweed hat decorated with a felt trim and flower.

Gilbert is a one-of-a-kind design made especially for The Bear Garden.

Barbara-Ann Bears are made by talented husband and wife team of Barbara-Ann and Andy Cunningham in Scotland. They are known around the world for their creative, colourful and wacky designs! Barbara hand-dyes her own mohair and fabrics, and as nearly every bear is a one-of-a-kind creation, no two are ever the same! Andy has the painstaking task of embroidering the noses. This is done from many layers of co-ordinating, soft-cotton tapestry thread, which perfectly complement the bear's mohair.
