Paul is a soulful bear crafted from a sparse chocolate brown coloured mohair fabric. He has been filled with a little steel shot to give him a lovely heavy weight and features enchanting glass eyes, felt paws and a hand-embroidered nose stitched to look subtly aged. Paul wears a beige coloured jacket which is tied together with pale blue and white striped cord and is decorated with small holes and delicate airbrushing to give it an aged and tatty effect.
Paul is a one of a kind bear created especially for The Bear Garden.

Anja Meier is a German teddy bear artist who began making bears as a hobby in 1992. Her fascination with creating her antique-inspired bears and animals lead to her making bears full-time in 2001 under the brand name of Anna Dazumal. Anja's creations are traditionally crafted and are often beautifully clothed and accessorised in her trademark nostalgic style.
