In 1919, following drastic post-war shortages of mohair and wool, Steiff began to create bears made from paper fabric. The Platinum Paper teddy bear is made from exquisite grey paper plush and has wooden eyes and feet made from a vegan and sustainable fabric crafted from pineapple fibres. He proudly wears a distinguished silver coloured chest tag. Building on the heritage of bears made like this over 100 years ago; this endearing bear has all of the beautiful qualities of a traditional Steiff bear and is made from ethical and eco-friendly materials to bring a way of working that was once a necessity, to a world where we now face huge challenges with our modern day environment, thus paving the way for a whole new perspective of design.
Limited to only 919 pieces, He comes with his numbered certificate in a Steiff gift box with its original protective cardboard outer sleeve.
