Dogmatix (Idefix) by Steiff - 17cm

Steiff

Catalogue number: 674167

Dogmatix (or Idefix as he is known in the original French text), celebrated his 50th anniversary in 2015! This cute little friend of Obelix first appeared in Asterix and the Banquet in 1965, when his infallible sixth sense allows him to save Asterix and Cleopatra from certain death in a pyramid. In 2003, Dogmatix was given the gift of speech in the story Chanticleerix, much to the surprise of Asterix! He later became famous for his environmental concerns which were very much ahead of their time (he cannot bear the thought of anyone harming a tree).
Made from the creamy white and jet black mohair, he has embroidered features along with his characteristic long moustache. He proudly displays his gold-plated Steiff "Button in Ear" and has a joyful expression.

Dogmatix is limited to 1,965 pieces and and comes with his numbered certificate in a Steiff gift box with its original protective cardboard outer sleeve.
