Bessie is a cheeky little cat made from apricot mohair. She has amber glass eyes and soft suede feet and inner ears. Bessie has delicately airbrushed details and she wears a sweet painted jingle bell on a ribbon around her neck.
She is a one-of-a-kind design and has been made especially for The Bear Garden.
Lynne Farmer has been making teddy bears since 1996. She originally trained as a graphic designer and for many years illustrated children's books, many of them stories about bears! Making under the name Jack & Lilia she creates all of her bears and characters by hand. Each creation has glass eyes, cotter pin or thread joints and is filled with cotton/poly flock and weighted with steel shot. Lynne has always loved working with textiles and collecting vintage fabrics, buttons and trimmings. She often uses these when making her little creations.
