95th Anniversary Paper Winnie the Pooh by Steiff - 30cm

On Christmas Eve in 1925 Winnie the Pooh’s first story appeared on page 7 of Evening News. Readers got to meet the Bear of Very Little Brain and join him on his quest for honey. 10 months later on the 14th of October 1926, the book Winnie the Pooh was published.

2021 marks 95 years since Winnie the Pooh and his friends made their print debut and the beginning of the adventures in the Hundred Acre Wood that have delighted readers of all ages.

To celebrate this milestone, Steiff have created this special interpretation of Winnie the Pooh. He is made from sustainable paper and violen felt (100% plant and wood based) and is filled with stuffing made from recycled plastic bottles. He wears a red linen shirt and has a gold plated 'Button in Ear'. 

Steiff's dedication to exploring new sustainable materials and processes fits well with the enduring legacy of Pooh and the celebration of his landmark birthday.

Winnie the Pooh is limited to only 1,926 pieces and comes with his numbered certificate in a Steiff gift box with its original protective cardboard outer sleeve.
