In 1919, following post-war shortages of mohair and wool, Steiff began to create bears from alternative eco-friendly and sustainable materials.

After Midnight is a very handsome traditional teddy bear crafted from a long pile midnight blue paper plush fabric. He has endearing glass boot-button style eyes and he is stuffed with wood shavings in the traditional way. After Midnight's feet are made from an unusual faux-leather produced from pineapple fibres and perforated to show his wood shaving stuffing. He proudly wears a distinguished polished steel motif chest tag.

Building on the heritage of bears made like this over 100 years ago, After Midnight boasts the distinctive design qualities of a traditional Steiff bear, as well as a modern, ethical and eco-friendly attitude to production.

Limited to only 2,020 pieces worldwide, he comes with his numbered certificate in a Steiff gift box with its original protective cardboard outer sleeve.
